MLA

Library Kitty traveled to MLA with Literary Kitty but hasn't come home yet. I guess she even got her picture taken a couple of times and you might be able to see those on Literary Kitty's blog. Hopefully, it will be soon as I'm anxious to see them. Five minutes ago it was snowing so hard you could hardly see across the street. Now the sun is shining but still looks COLD. Brrrrr, I wonder where our spring has gone? "Spring iz sprung, the grass iz rize, I wonder where the birdies iz"? (I have no idea were I learned that as a little kid). There must have been a dozen robins in my back yard right next to the patio yesterday, so spring has to be somewhere around!

Catch ya'all later......

I'mmmmmmmBaaaaack!

I'm trying to post my Avatar alter ego, but I'm going to need our A-1 Best Techno's help. I have her created, just can't plant her on my blog. Later........

Yahoo! Avatars

And who should appear but Literary Kitty, who helped me get Camar, my Avatar Alter Ego onto my blog. She was a very helpful Kitty, and brought Library Kitty home.

I have had a lot of fun with this Lesson 2.0, especially checking out my coworkers blogs and laughing with them on the funny things we've found. I think I've enjoyed playing with Fliker and the Generators, plus I still enjoy checking out YouTube!

Thank you for the opportunity to take part in this new and fun experience! Until next time,

Au revoir

Already??

Well, I think I'm at Lesson 10. This was interesting but lots of fun when I had time to play with it. I really had fun in the Generator, Youtube, creating new posts, and reading my coworkers blogs. I would like to keep up with this if I can AND if I can remember how to create some of these tools. I might go back over my blog and see if there is something fun I can add. I like what you Gals said about "this not being the end of a learning journey together, but rather it's just the start of something amazing...

Wikis

Geez, just about got myself into trouble. I was working on Lesson 9, checking out the sites recommended, clicked on one titled 'funny sayings'. It wanted me to download a bunch of media stuff, I cancelled, it wouldn't let me out, kept going in circles, and finally I asked Stef for help and she (once again) saved my bacon.

But before that all happened, I was doing pretty good, checking out different sites that were recommended. I checked out the Wyoming Authors wiki (I was born & raised in Wyoming); I checked out the Montana Librarians "how to write children's books", and did a tour of Wikis. As soon as I can think of something our library could do to use a wiki site, I'll add it to this post.

So, for now......................Ciao

Bookmarking & Tagging

Wow! I feel like I'm weeks behind but actually I'm only behind one week. I've been learning about the tagging and bookmarking on delicious (?) and have set the buttons on my computer so I can keep things handy, like fliker, utube, friend's blogs, podcast sites (tho I won't be using that one much) and other new sites when I come across them. Most of my work-related bookmarks are on Windows 'favorites' already. Anyway, this has been very interesting and I feel I've learned alot of new things doing Library 2.0.

Cheers!

Catchin' Up!

I was out all last week with a travelin' bug and have only been in 3 days this week. I'm doing my Youtube lesson and it's very interesting.

It's taken me a while and finally had to ask for help from our "O Great Techie" to attach a video. There are all kinds of cute videos about kittens and cats and these guys are really fun. Another interesting video was titled PAPIROFLEXIA (Spanish for Origami - so it says).

I also like the funny commercials, Karen's "Hank" and Kim's video on the Librarian's song. I could spend alot of time browsing-about Youtube. I was trying to paste a picture, but have run out of time. It's back to work,

So, until next lesson..............Adios

PODCASTS

Podcasting must be fun for some people, young and old alike. I sorta understand the concept, but not much more than sorta. I listened to the Beginner's Guide to Podcasting: Part 1-A Consumers Guide, and I understand you can download music, talks, etc. I have added the URL below to my feeds and will try to add a couple more. I have a speaker on my computer (both at work and) at home so I will be able to listen to these podcasts. However, I do not plan to purchase an Ipod anytime soon.
